The Democratic Socialists of America is a dangerous group.
And who is the queen of the DSA? New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. And that makes her dangerous too.
The Congresswoman from the Bronx and Queens says capitalism is “not a redeemable system for us to be able to participate in for the prosperity and peace for the vast majority of people.”
What a load of crap.
And what does that beauty of a group, the DSA, believe? Here’s a direct quote from their website: “Capitalism is a system designed by the owning class to exploit the rest of us for their own profit.”
Who the hell is the “owning class”? Homeowners? Bodega owners? Taxi owners?
Oh and by the way, they also want to defund the police. And oh, and by the way, they are also Jew haters.
Their anti-Semitism was even used as a bludgeon against one of their own members, New York Congressman Jamaal Bowman, who’s no prize himself.
Bowman suddenly “woke” up and begged off his support for the historic Abraham Accords to curry favor with his progressive pals.
The DSA should be pleased, no? Jamaal has shown how much he hates Israel. So what’s their beef with Bowman?
They don’t think he hates Jews enough. The Democratic Socialists of America claim Jamaal Bowman is now against the Abraham Accords—are you sitting down—because his redrawn district “excludes Riverdale, an area with a heavy Zionist (emphasis mine) constituency.”
In other words, when he repped Riverdale, Bowman caved to the all-powerful Jews and in the eyes of the DSA he lost his Jew-hating cred. The DSA apparently believes a true anti-Semite would have opposed the accords from the start.
Holy David Duke, Batman! If that isn’t bigotry I don’t know what is.
Let’s get back to AOC and her BOC (see footnote below).
She says capitalism is “not a redeemable system”.
What’s she looking at as socialist success stories? Sweden, Norway, Denmark? Their population combined is roughly the same as the number of people that live in the New York metropolitan area. Or does she mean Nicaragua, Moldova, China? Shining examples of democracy, tolerance and human rights.
Kudos to NYC Mayor Eric Adams who told CNBC this past week he’s not going to apologize for being a capitalist.
Thank God he knows where his city’s bread is buttered. Ocasio-Cortez is not only clueless, she’s destructive. Do you remember the Amazon/Long Island City shit-show?
In the last New York City Council elections, the DSA ran six candidates. All but two of them lost. That’s good news. Let’s keep it that way.
But AOC’s influence is being felt beyond the New York area. In last week’s primaries in Texas, one Congressional candidate she campaigned for did well and is a lock to be elected. Another forced a long-time conservative Democrat into a runoff.
As Friend Without Benefits has said before, casting your vote for the right candidate is your most important weapon to keep these slogan-spewing know-nothings from imposing their stupidity and bigotry on us.
Defeat the DSA!
