I’ve been making a list of people who should just stay in their lanes in 2026, to stick to what they do best and to just shut their pie holes!
At the top of my list is George Clooney.
IMHO, Clooney is an actor of moderate talent and has stuck his nose into issues far removed from this career as a movie star.
In 2024, after President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate with Donald Trump, Clooney had the chutzpah to call for Biden’s resignation in a New York Times op-ed column. Clooney said Biden was too old and too out of it. He said it was his “civic duty” to speak out.
George Clooney, the star of Ocean’s Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen, had a “civic duty” to call for the Democrat nominee for president to step aside?
Clooney didn’t just step out of his area of expertise, he launched himself onto planet narcissist.
Apparently Clooney hasn’t learned from that act of hubris. This past week, he was at it again. He publicly declared that CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss is “dismantling” that news division “as we speak.” He said “his primary loyalty [is] to my country.” He said, “I’m much more worried about how we inform ourselves and how we’re going to discern reality.”
Clooney’s comments came after Weiss postponed a 60 Minutes story on the abuse and torture of Venezuelan illegals who were deported by the Trump Administration to a prison in El Salvador. She said more reporting needed to be done before the piece was ready for broadcast.
I guess Clooney feels supremely qualified to question Weiss’ decision since he recently played Edward R. Murrow, the legendary CBS newsman, on Broadway. I’m surprised Clooney hasn’t commented on curing cancer, since he played a doctor on the TV show ER.
And about that “primary loyalty to my country” remark. It is curious that just this past week, both he and his wife Amal, who btw helped write the constitution for Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, took on French citizenship. Clooney said raising his children in France is better than raising them in the United States.
There are other celebs who share that planet narcissist with Clooney, like the Israel-haters Cynthia Nixon, Mark Ruffalo and Sarah Einbinder. Their half-assed opinions are worth nothing but they keep on spewing them.
Here’s another celebrity who should keep silent about geo-politics, and she’s one who you may not be as familiar with.
Ever hear of Ms. Rachel? That’s the stage name of Rachel Anne Accurso, who is a huge star amongst the infant, toddler and preschool crowd.
Ms. Rachel is a global phenomenon due to her YouTube series Songs for Littles. She has millions of subscribers and has amassed billions of views. She is one of the most powerful forces in children’s educational media and she’s also a useful idiot for Hamas.
Ms. Rachel says Israel has committed a genocide against the children of Gaza. She has parroted the unsubstantiated Gaza death figures from the Hamas-run, so-called ministry of health.
She says she cares about the plight of all children. But she’s a pro at issuing statements of moral outrage cloaked in moral equivalency, and she has never issued a standalone statement about the Israeli children who were abducted and murdered in Gaza, like the Bibas brothers.
Hey Ms. Rachel, thanks for ignoring the fact that Hamas started a war with Israel and used its own citizens, including its children, as human shields, and weaponized their injuries and their deaths for their nefarious propaganda purposes. Thank you for your uninformed and unsolicited opinions on issues that are beyond your ken. I hope to not hear from you in 2026 again.
Now for some quickies of other people who should stay in their lanes in the year ahead.
Elon Musk:
If George Clooney should stop commenting on CBS News, so should Elon Musk. He’s called 60 Minutes a “propaganda machine…that lost its credibility a long time ago.” He also opines on just about everything else from foreign aid to corruption in Minnesota.
Musk should muzzle and go back to being the entrepreneurial genius who gave us Tesla, SpaceX and Nuralink.
Zohran Mamdani:
Now that he’s been sworn in as Mayor of the City of New York, Mamdani should stop obsessing over Israel and start concentrating on New York’s rats.
Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens:
I hesitate to even mention their names because they have strayed so far from sanity. I know they won’t shut up because their mouths are making them millions of dollars, but I truly hope that in the coming year, they get the psychiatric help they so desperately need.
The leaders of Canada, Britain, France, Australia, Portugal, Belgium:
In 2025 they recognized something called the State of Palestine, an entity that doesn’t exist, has no borders, that is governed either by terrorists or by a corrupt nonagenarian, and is chocked full of jihadis hell bent on the destruction of a sovereign, democratic nation. In 2026, they should worry more about the radical Islamic groups that are threatening their countries from within, with their anti-western, anti-Christian ideology.
I hope that in the new year, all these legends in their own minds will confine their comments and actions to their areas of competence, but I wouldn’t bet on it. However, I do cling to the hope their dishonesty will be discarded by clear-thinking people who know where to find the truth.
